I have been an II member since approximately 2005. Only the last few years have I tried using
the II exchange.
It has seemed beyond comprehension to understand the process. But finally
got the gumption to try. Wow! Could anything be more vile I thought!.
It has been nothing but
headaches & misery...besides the rising cost which makes this whole timeshare worthless!
Once we booked a resort in Las Vegas Nevada. What a gamble! We get there late at night due
to airport delays but I had notified the resort. We checkin.
Go to the suite. Find people
sleeping... or whatever...in what was to be our bed, we could have been shot! Went to desk got
It was horrid. Went to leave. Got the valet which was required. He had lost our
car in under 30 minutes.
Furious ! We waited. Transferred to another resort across town-no
valet required. It was a near empty resort as was the first one!.
Now this year we are planning
to take a vacation to California. I’m told by II that I am not allowed to book the resort before 6
months of the time we want to checkin so I must wait until April 2019. This infuriated me as we
like booking trips a year in advance. Especially knowing II historically claims to have resorts but
they are always “not available.” So I try booking a resort as a regular exchange.
Of course it is
not available! The II rep says wait until end if month (April)—then end of May... now it’s June still
nothing! But I had called the resort and learned they do have vacant inventory for Interval
But II maintains they do not. The resort of course wants customers.
But II simply refuses to book us. II as usual offered us a cheaper resort farther away. They
always try to send us where we do not want to go.
We travel in the off season and have yet to
see any resort or hotel filled. Nope there is huge vacant inventory. II routinely called to get me
to pay more money for membership, fees, insurance etc etc...all II wants is more money to not
provide a service. We see this is false advertising & fraud.
I have spoken to resorts who refuse
to do business with II even though the resorts are listed in the II web site. Me thinks I smell a
rat. II you should book the resort we want now!
We are trying to book the resort for October

Preferred solution: Book the exchange like we have asked...we are not interested in going where Interval wants us!!.
