Situation: I have a 2013 deposit that is available for exchange from my home resort in Cabo San Lucas. I requested an exchange for September 2014 back to my home resort to use this deposited week. As a regular visitor to Cabo San Lucas I know well that this is the slow time of the season and facilities are readily available if requested at the resort.

Result of Request: I was told there was no available reservations for the area, maybe I would like to have an Exchange get away or put in a request and pay in advance for a request on future availability.

My Customer Response:

1. I am not willing to pay for an exchange to be held on my money indefinitely. Why would I pay for a product I do not have or may not even receive. I would not do so with any other service and will not with Interval International. If it becomes available I should be given 24 to 48 hours to finalize the deal rather than provide you additional cash for your profit and made unavailable to me ( much like the deposit I canโ€™t use)

2.I will not buy a getaway for a resort I have a deposit on hold for! I am not going to be able to use a deposit but can supply Interval International additional money for a vacation that I in essence have already paid for? The answer is no!

3.Being told there is no availability this far ahead of the requested time during the areas slow season indicates that either I am not being told the truth or that management of deposits and/or contract with the resort is extremely mis or poorly managed.

Outcome: Since my deposits are unusable when timely requests are made, I will not be making any further deposits of my time share with Interval International. It makes no reasonable business sense to deposit a product with you and not be able to regain any value. Since I perceive this as poor service, an attitude that the customer someone to over charge and under supply for profit I also will not be renewing any membership with Interval International.

To secure my time for vacation as requested I elected to pay my annual fees early and use the resort directly and was provided timely service and reservations were provided for the dates requested without hesitation.

I am concerned because all of a sudden nothing is being offered into the future. I want to look at options in the coming year or so and am told by II that I am limited to choices from the present through the end of the year.

My membership is current. I already have plans for the present...made months ago, which seems the prudent way to plan.

I will be calling to see what the deal is. Is this just an end of the year deal or do they expect my home resort to go out of business...or what?

I am having the same problem with location. I did however pay the exchange fee (bank fee) and if I do not see any results in a couple of weeks I will cancel the search (for my home resort) and go through the resort.

This is crazy. I had to pick a total of 3 locations for a search even though I only want the one location.

I was informed that if any of the undesired locations come available I just decline. This is a nightmare.

When depositing my week, never , ever do I get what I need. Late deposit or not,

Interval is not helpful.

Change to gold, still not accommodating. Always ending losing my week.

I will take Lost and relinquish my time share soon. :sigh
