I've been a member of II for almost 13 years. In the beginning they did a poor job of fulfilling my exchange requests. But since Marriott came out with the Destinations program, and so many Marriott owners are electing to exchange their weeks for Destinations Club points, II has NO INVENTORY to HOT locations. If you ask them, they'll tell you: "We're basically only good at exchanging into Orlando, Aruba and Palm Springs. You want to go to Hilton Head? St. Thomas? Any other "Hot" location, they NEVER have the inventory to fulfill a request like that.

Why is that? Glad you asked. As a Marriott owner in Aruba (for example), I can sell my week to Marriott for 4,000 Club points, and then immediately (while I'm on the Marriott web site) use those points to buy a week ANYWHERE I WANT IT...a year out. Do you understand what I just said? Instead of taking my week and depositing it at II, and waiting...and waiting...and waiting, for a match that may never happen, I can buy my week directly from Marriott, A WHOLE YEAR OUT, and start planning my vacation.

I currently have two weeks on deposit with II. They've been there for over a year, and they'll probably die and rot there. So I'll deposit no more weeks with II, and as soon as my current membership expires, I'm done with II. I don't honestly know how they'll stay in the Marriott part of their business.

My family has over $200,000 invested in Marriott Resort timeshares. We love all of your properties, but we were led (by Marriott) to believe we'd always have "Strong exchange possibilities because of the valuable timeshares you own." But as I said, II has never been better than "poor" at exchanging to PLACES WE'D LIKE TO GO, and now they're worse than poor.

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

You're nothing more than a shill for Marriott's horrible Destinations program. Likely a Marriott Timeshare salesperson.

You don't get NEARLY the value for your trade - you can't even trade back into your OWN resort for equal value.

Marriott Destinations is a scam. Anyone that has looked at this program knows it's just a money making scam for Marriott.

You don't have to wait for II membership to expire. They will prorate a refund for you.
