Each year I received a bonus week from Interval International to travel somewhere with an expiry date of February the following year - they didn't let us know until December the year before - so we scrambled trying to find something on their exclusive list of places ... there were many places listed but when you clicked to see what was actually available - nothing was ever available but locations with "all-inclusive resorts" that cost over $ 200 per night or over $ 1400 in food that would not be required.

There was no option out of the all-inclusive resorts ... also the dates listed were firm and virtually impossible to book flights during that time ... so really the bonus week is just a sales pitch to stay at an all-inclusive resort where someone makes extra money - there there is no bonus happening. I have yet been able to use any of my points to stay at interval international and it was a waste of money ...

I am highly disappointed in this company.

I used to use RCI points to stay in places all over the world and had a good experience and able to find many places to suit my needs. I have yet to see Interval International do anything because anything they say they offer doesn't really exist - I have a feeling they sell off their locations rather than make them available to their members.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Interval International Pros: What they advertised to be true, I like what they advertised.

Interval International Cons: Fraudulent promises not fulfilled.

Location: Toronto, Ontario

My exact sentiments - lawsuit waiting to happen

I've used the bonus weeks and never had any problems. The key is to book as soon as you see the bonus week showing online.

They go fast.

We are usually notified around late September or so. Good luck.

Absolutely fraudulent in their business practices and a completely lowbrow company. Never in my life have I ever dealt with such an unethical company.

They promise ease of exchange and have even issued us a resort certificate...which they then made IMPOSSIBLE to use. I had already paid for the getaway week and am now out 1k. Never again will i sign with them, and will urge anyone considering it, against it.

I am also lodging a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Complaint Company. Disgusting.

Happens to me all the time. I lose the bonus weeks and my deposited weeks.

They never have anything.

My timeshare is very nice and wasted. I'm looking for a different membership where I can drop II and maybe be able to use my weeks.
